Do we need to engage a separate auditor to support controlled-substance prescribing?

No separate auditor is typically required when implementing DAW’s established electronic prescribing for controlled substances (EPCS) functionality. DAW works with an independent auditor to maintain the required DEA certification of its EPCS technology. Your organization remains responsible for any requirements related to its own workflows, policies and use of the solution.

Is a staging environment available?

Yes. DAW provides access to a dedicated staging environment as part of onboarding, and that access remains available throughout the partnership. Your team can use it for implementation, testing and future development needs.

Does DAW offer an open sandbox?

No. Because e-prescribing requires a secure, compliant environment, DAW does not provide a publicly accessible sandbox. Staging access is provided once onboarding begins and includes the documentation, credentials and support needed to build and test your integration. Production connectivity and live patient or prescription data are not included in the staging environment.
